O’Neil Foundation makes good on pledge to help keep families together

It is only because of the contributions of time and money from all of our supporters that we are happily able to announce yet another donation to The Shriners Hospital for Children in Boston. This one in the amount of $5,000.00 !!  The funds presented will be used by Shriners Care Coordinators to assist families during a most trying time.  We have asked that all proceeds be used to further our goal of keeping families together as they work to help their little ones recover.  The burden of expenses such as gas, food, travel, lodging and others will be offset and the main goal of a child’s fast and healthy recovery, surrounded by family, can be the main focus.

We have avoided ‘the second tragedy” for these little ones by keeping the family together.

Christopher J. O’Neil, President of the Thomas H. and Catherine D. O’Neil Charitable Foundation, Inc states, “Contributions from our supporters have been donated in the memory of the 492 victims of the Cocoanut Grove Fire in Boston.  Thomas, Catherine and Isabelle O’Neil all perished on November 28th, 1942 at the nation’s worst nightclub fire.  Their memory and the memory of all of those affected by this tragedy now live on in the hearts of children assisted by our Foundation.  We have helped in a small way to make a bad situation better for these families and for that we say thank you!!
